Partner and Co-founder,Marcel is an experienced advisor to boards and management of both listed and privately owned high growth enterprises operating in the technology, media, entertainment and communication sectors. He specialises in governance digital and business strategy, finance management, Mergers and acquisitions, and leadership. A resident of Hong Kong for over 33 years, he was partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1993 to 2015 and the Global Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Entertainment and Media Practice from 2006 to 2015. He is INED at Asia Satellite Telecommunications and serves on the Advisory Boards of a number of emerging technology and media companies that are disruptors in their respective fields. He is former Chairman of Asia Video Industry Association (“AVIA”) (formerly CASBAA). He is a graduate in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Partner and Co-founder David came to Asia in 1991 with Reuters to be a catalyst for change in the finance function, leading financial systems projects in the region and later moving on to the regional management team of their Media division. Leaving Reuters in 2002, he has subsequently served as Asia Pacific CFO for the Financial Times, LexisNexis and Haymarket up to June 2020, also concurrently running business divisions and corporate strategy. David specialises in leading change in the finance function by re-designing processes and utilising new technologies. He has also built a wide network of business partners in the region, which has facilitated the outsourcing of non-core business activities thereby making substantial reductions in enterprise costs and enabling cost-effective business development. He is a Mathematics graduate from Oxford University, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Partner and Co-founder Rob is an accomplished senior finance and operations executive with over 20 years experience in Asia. He has a strong track record of success in deal advisory, financial management, analytical research and operations, controls and risk management in a variety of sectors including entertainment, technology and media. Previous clients and employers include Reuters and Thomson Reuters, The Red Flag Group, Wisers, the boutique investment bank Marlin and Associates, DST International, AFE Solutions, WSJ/Dow Jones and early in his career the rock band KISS. Rob was previously Chairperson of both the European and Irish Chambers of Commerce in Hong Kong. Rob is a graduate of the University College Dublin and the University of South Australia has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and is a Chartered Accountant.
